Sunday, January 18, 2009 100th Monkey splits up...

 

The band has recently collectively come to the realization that (even in a cover band oddly enough) philosophical differences can, and in fact DO exist, and they have ground the project to a halt. FYI:Some members of the most recent lineup of the band will soldier on with new players... so in essence, a new band under the old name. The remaining members are in the midst of reforming/reconstituting the band and will most definitely be gigging in the very near future as well. How does "101st Monkey" sound? Kidding. At any rate, any and all currently booked dates are very much in the air, and if you're hoping to see the band as you've seen it constituted recently, that will definitely NOT be the case. One of the two splinter groups MAY end up playing some/all of the gigs that were booked, but nothing is known as of yet in that regard. So do call the respective clubs if you're interested in finding out who's playing the dates... Thanks for all the support over the last year, we've had a blast!
